WHO WE ARE
Sugarleaf was founded with a vision that we could one day being the best in the world at growing cannabis. This goes deeper than just yield, potency, or brand knowledge, staying true to who we are and always doing the right thing is at the core of every decision we make as a company. In every industry, there is a level of precision that can hardly be re-created by others, we strive to maintain that level every day. A wise man once said “only when one loves what he does can greatness be achieved,” and we love what we do. We feel we have a unique opportunity to shape how an industry is perceived, as cannabis transforms out of almost 100 years of prohibition we take pride in being at the core group of pioneers that will continuously move the industry forward in a positive direction. An opportunity so grand should not be taken lightly; we lead by example, we are who we want the industry to become.
At the core of who we are as a company lies a belief in a responsible future, having a great work ethic, keeping an open mind, and understanding that education is key.
Belief in a better future: It is every person’s responsibility to limit his or her impact on our environment. We incorporate LED technology to limit our power draw, and use smart controllers on all environmental equipment to minimize our greenhouse effect. Our marketing materials and packaging are printed on recycled paper, and internally we limit paper by electronically keeping files and only mailing business documents when specifically asked by our customers.
Work Ethic: It is our opinion that success is not accidental, there are plenty of growers that choose to automate growing procedures, but we are not one of them. This is a love of labor, and shortcuts only result in a subpar product. There may be more profitable ways of growing cannabis, but we are not interested in being second best. We pride ourselves in working harder than anyone in the industry to stay on the leading edge of technology. It is our promise to our customers to continually look for new strains with not only recreational uses, but medicinal benefits as well.
Keeping an open mind: Being a part of this industry at a time when rules and regulations change on a daily basis, you have two options, embrace change or close up shop. Every day we are faced with regulatory changes that affect the way we operate, we pride ourselves in establishing a clear objective and executing those changes to the best of our ability.
Education is Key: Our society is raised to believe failure is a bad thing; however, we embrace quite the opposite. It is only when one fails at reaching their goals do they realize how to obtain them. Everything must be learned through trial and error, sure somebody may get lucky occasionally but we don’t believe in depending on luck. We will continue to educate ourselves, and set a positive example for our peers.
